Los Pelambres Mine (Chile)

Minera Los Pelambres is one of the biggest copper mining companies of Chile, located high in the Andes Mountains north of Santiago de Chile. Always open to the application of the most modern technologies, Los Pelambres was in 2008 the first South American mine starting to use MetGIS. Its main benefit is the optimization of its production through markedly improved snowfall forecasts.
