National Weather Service (Bhutan)

Within the framework of a project sponsored by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) in 2010 and 2011, MetGIS forecasts have been successfully adapted to the climate conditions of the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. In the meantime, MetGIS has become an invaluable help to support the daily forecasting activities of the Meteorological Division of the DHMS (Department of Hydrometeorological Services), the National Weather Service of Bhutan. It has also been successfully applied for forecasting the weather for special events, such as the royal wedding in October 2011.
